Movies 2004

For me, this year was a great year at the movies. I liked almost everything I saw and didn’t see anything I hated. We saw lots of action-adventure movies. I think we tend to reserve our theater-going to movies with lots of visual appeal and watch more intimate dramas when they come out on DVD.

  • 2004-03-26. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. JQS at the Westgate. (Rewatched it on DVD and then watched the commentary.)
  • 2004-11-20. The Incredibles. AJM at the Village Drafthouse; 2004-12-27 with SAM and AJM at the Westgate.
  • 2004-05-28. Shrek 2. AJM, Trevor and Stacy, and Dan at the Regal Gateway.
  • 2004-06-04. Harry Potter: The Prisoner of Azkaban. AJM, Trevor and Stacy, and others at the Regal Gateway
  • 2004-02-29. The Fog of War. AJM at the new Great Hills Arbor. (Bought the DVD for my dad and watched it again with him.)
  • 2004-04-18. The Battle of Algiers. AJM and SAM at the Dobie.
  • 2004-12-03. Closer. AJM and Trevor at the Great Hills Arbor.
  • 2004-08-28. Blind Swordsman, Zatoichi. AJM and JQS at the Great Hills Arbor. (Received the DVD for Christmas. Thanks, JQS.)
  • 2004-09-17. THX1138. JQS at the Great Hills Arbor. (Also saw it in its original release.)
  • 2004-08-09. The Twilight Samurai. JQS at the Great Hills Arbor.
  • 2004-09-18. Sky Captain. AJM at the Alamo Drafthouse Village.
  • 2004-07-07. Spiderman 2. SAM at the Westgate. (I consider this the best of the Spiderman movies.

Note: 2008-01-13. After repeated viewings on DVD, The Twilight Samurai is now in my top ten favorite movies of all time.
