Imagining a Small God

I’ve never understood people whose faith was so weak that they had to expend incredible effort to maintain it and shut out any observation of the world or idea that might shake it. Is their god so small and powerless?

Doesn’t god encompass everything? Mightn’t god worked in ways incompressible to the human mind? When you show me how small your god is, it seems so obvious he is just a reflection of your limited imagination.
