About 9 last night I remembered that I’d seen that the fencing had been removed around Town Lake Park. So AJM and I walked down and took a stroll through Austin’s newest park. We were not alone. Couples lingered here and there under the full moon. We stood at the top of the observation mound and exclaimed our love for Austin.
Glenfinnan Monument, Loch Shiel
that image of the mountains sliding into Loch Shiel is one of my favorite natural features. I think it was something I often drew before I ever saw it in photographs or in real life. So when I saw it for the first time, I felt recognition, as if I were looking on a memory come to life.
Buenos Aires Cafe
Located just south of the Cash American Pawn shop on South 1st St past Oltorf, Buenos Aires Cafe takes one completely by surprise and delight. From the location and the exterior of the restaurant you’d guess it was a place to get cheap tacos or burritos. However, step inside and it’s transformed. The tiny interior is modern, calm and elegant, the food delicious, and the desserts. What a find! I
